There are books that will be remembered for their disruptive ideas about what it means to be a woman, the suffragettes battle, or the injustice of unequal pay. Ahead of their time, other authors have discussed the condition of being a woman while belonging to a racial minority. But beside these important topics, there are also more subtle and intimate books that identify the complexity of modern issues that most women relate to: harassment, unachievable beauty standards, rape, the glass ceiling, over-achievement…
Which book or movie has forged your opinion about feminism and woman power? How did you identify with it? Why is it so dear to you?
Join us for a chill evening in a cosy cafe-librairie to share your favorite book or movie with other passionate students, and explore other opinions around a cup of tea! The books that we will discuss will be published on our website and social media to inspire other students that want to learn more about feminism but don’t know where to start.
